| The South County Summerfest provided an opportunity for collaboration between the Lassen County Public Health Tobacco Use Reduction Program Staff and Lassen First Five as they traveled forty miles to Herlong with DANDY the Smokeless Dragon this past Saturday to participate in the second annual South County Summerfest. Visitors to the Summerfest were provided with cessation and secondhand smoke information. The children had an opportunity to design their own paper visors with No Smoking stickers as well as some patriotic ones. Lassen First Five staff joined in reminding adult attendees about the importance of protecting children from tobacco. Young mothers who had not previously received one were given a First Five New Parent Kit containing items from First Five as well as tobacco education information. |
